Aditya Chopra is one of the most powerful man in Bollywood. Son of Yash Chopra, Adi (As he is popularly known) is the super hit director of blockbusters like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ and ‘Mohabbatein’. And he is the man who is responsible for the mammoth stature of Yash Raj Films today.

A seriously private man, the media personnel have a hard time searching for his photographs when they have to talk about him as he seldom gives any photo-op.

‘Veer Zaara’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Salaam Namaste’, ‘Saathiya’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ and now ‘Fanaa’, Adi as the producer and idea man has a big role to play in the success of the above films.

But today his personal life is befitting a film script as allegedly he has filed for divorce from wife Payal. And the cause for such a drastic step is his ‘Closeness’ with actress Rani Mukherjee whose career he is supposedly maneuvering with much-interest.

Payal hails from a rich business family and has been a close childhood friend. In fact she is the one who has played a big part in designing the plush state-of-the-art Yash Raj Studios in Andheri. If the rumour mills are to be believed then she also has the support of her in laws Yash and Pamela Chopra.

Adi who is currently location hunting in London for Sidharth Anand’s next has been staying in a five star hotel and plans to return there once he is back. It is the same hotel where he used to have script-reading sessions with Rani. ‘Black’ girl Mukherjee had earlier been linked with the very-much-married Govinda and her close bond with Aamir Khan was also a subject of speculation as well.
